Challenge
The site presented engineering challenges, including curved wall alignment. The foundation rested on reactive soil, requiring detailed analysis and ground improvements. The varying design loads of 5 to 12 kPa required select backfill, and the tiered wall, reaching 9 meters, added complexity.
Solution
Konceptual designed a two-tiered RediRock wall using 7,600 modular blocks with both gravity and geogrid reinforcement. We stabilized the reactive soil foundation and deployed geogrids for load distribution and stability. Quality inspections ensured the wall met safety standards.
